Community Policing Options Available to the Public
Launching on January 1st 2015, a new app will emerge which will hopefully bridge the gap between civilian and law enforcement agency efforts. Oculus Technologies has created a free (for civilians) IOS app which will allow civilians to report and offer information on any crime committed to their local police department. This option will be nice for those living in high crime areas as the users will have the luxury of reporting crimes from the comfort of their own homes the second it happens thus using law enforcement's time and efforts more efficiently.
You can find the app preview at code1app.com and you can expect more information on features and abilities of the app as time gets closer to their launch date.
